 In the site “Erase Bullying” it talks briefly about bullying and its causes, effects, risk factor and types. I choose this site because it relates to my book’s social issue bullying. The site explains that “Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems. .” The four types of Bullying are Emotional, Verbal, Physical and Cyber which are on the site. Similarly my book Phillp is bullied emotionally, physically and verbally. When its Phillp's birth day his is beaten up on his birthday in front of everyone and his brother is held down to watch too. While shouting stick up for yourself but cant, Phillps is also emotionally abused by the school when they put him in the lowest class just because of his appearance. Just as stated in the site. How it happens and when it’s happening what is involved.

The article "Bullying Can Change Lives" talks about how the start of high school can be the scariest day for children. The article makes you think about how rough your high school days were. And when most people think about high school it involves bullying, it also explains the meaning of a bully - Bullying directly means, “The use of superior strength or influence to intimidate someone, typically to force him or her to do what one wants.” But doesn’t necessarily mean that for example if there is a student in a class who is smarter than the rest that student will be called pipsqueak, small fry and etc. making the student think he will be called that for the rest of his life. Pushing him to side like a piece of trash which will up making him spiral down the start of his carrier. From being someone who could have had a high degree into someone who hates himself. This article explains how bullying can change a life. In my book it talks about how his twin brother Michael has been paralyzed by the bullies who attack his younger brother. When Phillip finds out he gets on a motorcycle and rushes to the hospital, but he ends up crashing down a hill and has a miracle. But when he recovers everything is different and decides his path.. How he is going to change his life.

The is a music video link that shows how a student who is bullied stands up for himself and gains confidence. Explaing how he went through depression and that everyone one can recover, not to stay in the darkness. The part where he's feeling down relates to my book, where Phillpi gives up and runs away when he goes home to gather a few items them run away he is caught by his mom and is helped by other people.

This article talks about how children are being bullied because of the way they look not caring about thier personalities.  And how most people say that the darkest tim ein thier life were the times when they went to high school. I choose this is because it relates to the social issue how bullying effects everyone, the main reason why I choose this article was to indicate that there are many people being bullied because on disorders and apperance. In the article it tells many stories of people going through bullying just because of thier apperance. Surely, they are negatively impacting the society by the way they act. In my book, Phillip has been through a lot just because he has a face disorder, even being treated unfair by teachers. After the facts that the bullies ends up being punished
(suspended) they will end up coming back with the taught of revenge. Jamie in the article was constanly being picked at the age of 11 because of hes red hair and fair skin. "The jocks all call him 'carrot top' or 'freckle face. The phycoligist talked about how bullying starts, the cause and talkes to Jamie helping her. In my book this relates because Phillpis ends up getting help.

The peom i picked is called Holly felt. The peom talks how the victim of bullying is always lonley and has no friends. Keeping all the anger inside them which ends up making them think negativley about them self, which makes it a victim result in commiting suicide. Similarly in my novel, Phillps never had any real friends he always was alone and taught about running away in the cold thinking no one would even care if he dissappeared.

The Boy in the Striped Pajama's

The movie "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas's" is a story about a young boy named Bruno, who is living in Nazi Germany. Bruno father is a S Commandant for the Germans who has been taught since birth that all Jews are bad and must never associated with them. When Bruno father was promoted, his family had to move from the town he was in into  the country. When Bruno arrived at his new house he hated it because there was no one around to play with him. Bruno mentions to his parent that there is a farm next door but not knowing is a concentration camp, since the parents know its actually a concentration camp Bruno is banned going near the camp. After many days of being tremendously bored, he decides to ignore his parents rules and explores beyond the backyard but finds a boy who is the same age as him named Shmule. After seeing each other they instantly become friends and about approaching events. At first sight you could tell they had lived two very lived being a German and a Jew. After meeting each other, Bruno decides to visit Shmule daily playing a game of chess and talk about each other. After an fierce argument between a soldier and a Jewish slave, Bruno's parents wanted to go back to the city so Bruno's mind wouldn't be corrupted. Bruno didn't want to go because he didn't want to leave a friend behind, but remembers that he has to keep a promise to Shumle that he made, which was to help find his father. Before the day they decided to move, Bruno digs a hole under the electric fence that separates Bruno and Shmule and gets inside the concentration camp. Shumle brings Bruno an extra set of his uniform which looks like striped pajama's so he doesn't stand out. After getting a caught an incident searching for his father, were pushed into to a room full of men. Little did they know it was a gas chamber and the two of them are killed.

Reflect

The movie “The boy in the strip pajamas" actually does reflect on events that happened in Germany during the holocaust. This is when Hitler declared that all Jews should be killed or be sent to concentration camps which resulted to slavery. Many Germans who had families were forced to move closer to concentration camps due to their ranks. Concentration camps is where they killed Jews in gas chambers, during the movie it showed how the Germans and the Jews were treated differently, they could never have peace together. In the movie Bruno went behind his parents knowledge and became friends with a Jew name Shmuel even before knowing he was a Jew. After knowing Shmuel was a Jew he still became friends with him not even caring he was a Jew.

ReTALE

The movie relates the reality of the world as in life there is a full of hatred including racial and discrimination conflict. People end up judging other by the way they look as in :skin color, religion, accent physical appearance and etc. Not even knowing what kind of person one is from the inside (personality). The movie explains how Jews were judged on by Nazi's, but Bruno overlooked it and their friendship took over the hatred other's first looked at.

Why Have I Chosen This Article? 
I chose this article because of the similarities that my novel and this article have. The article starts off with a woman who has been through a lot of bullying. In the article she explains that her and her friends have been treated unfairly even going to the point where one of his friends took her own life. Named Amanda Todd she has been verbally and mentally abused for months. Through all the humiliation and traumatizing, she had faced her darkest days pleading her parents that she didn't want to go to school. At one point of her life she didn't want to live anymore and so on did. The woman telling the story doesn't name herself and continues telling how they went through the process of bullying. This article is related to my book because in my book" The monkey face chronicles" the protagonist Phllips has a condition that makes his face look distorted and which is why they call him Monkey face. Phillps is later on bullied and everyone else that witnesses the fight just ignore it except for his brother Micheal who continuously throughout the story reminds Phillp that he need to stick up for him. When Phillps is beaten up and left on the floor he decides to run away from home even if it kills him. In his mind he thinks about how no one wants him and how he always going to be treated by that if he wasn't caught by he's mother looking through the window there was a high chance that Phillp would have committed suicide 
How Does This Relate To My Novel's Social Issue? This is related to my novel in terms of social issue by: the way they both act and think about being bullied. Both of them had deep thought about their life in way that could make then never recover from depression for example: they didn't care that their family loved them, they have got use to rejection and not having friends even when they needed one the most and etc. In the outcome they both always said that "I was worthless, that I would never have any friends, that my existence was useless."Thinking that running away will solve their problems. In the end they both related by how they handle the situation of being bullied

why do I bully you 

because I'm tired of being an outcast not fitting in

but fitting so perfectly purposely

could hear the fear in the eyes of hundreds of kids

young boy, a classic character in every high school sitcom I am bowser

 billion other kids gone wrong

every school has their bullies

and if the shoe fits have it tied on to your foot

you mistook me for a bully

 but these lockers were begging to get shoved into

 why because administrators cant hear the plead for help

underneath that crack of every punch I throw

 I Smack you down cause we both know i'm to afraid to ask you to carry some of

the burden that is put at me at home

 so I force it upon you

conducting the same anger that is beaten into me and unfortunately

it dosent work that way

 why because I am tired of seeing through the eyes of the powerless

 Sir, your child struck another child see,

 monkey see, monkey do then monkey suffer the consequences of his father actions then papa monkey is in jail

Papa left nothing behind but a pale young child

failing to find and color in his skin besides black and blue

 why

because I am cursed with these heritable anger management issues forced to constantly

see myself as

 both sides of the monsters

man towering over the helpless

helpless child but it helps inside to know I'm not the only one

 getting welts and black eyes why

 because I'm trapped inside this label lettuce wraps around my body

like chains

 and brattling my brain just trying to explain

 that I'm required to abstain from trying to be

 anything but a bully

The poem above is written by me about the events going on in my novel, specifically towards the protagonist and the antagonist . As the protagonist of my novel is having a self vs self-conflict with himself of whether he should always depend on his brother or run away. The poem is about living as a bully and how bullies reach a certain stage that makes them violent. This is written in the antagonist perspective, the poem states that the antagonist use to be a person who got abused and reasons why he picks on other people. The protagonist later recognizes why the antagonist is doing all of this

The picture above demonstrates that bullies always target weaker students. This relates to my book because the protagonist "Phillips" Is always being treated on unfair, picked on etc. Because he has a special conditions that makes his face abnormal. Also in the comic above it shows that the older brother comes to help out the younger brother- this also happens in the book "The Monkeyface Chronicles"

The war of destruction

During a long night in Dublin (June) a epidemic of a civil war among the Republicans and the Free Staters appeared to have no decision.

This introduced by a young Republican sniper, risking the life of his own and taking the life of his brother brother in a death battle not aware who his opponent was. The Republican sniper was planning to kill the enemy from the rooftops ,but was unsure of the detail that his opponent was his brother who had a similar purpose.

The young Republican sniper was staying low on the rooftop of a building, which was opposite to its enemies hideout. He retained being hungry and exhausted for the entire day, but had to conclude his task. The young Republican sniper was creating was shooting his enemies that he had spotted down the road, but this revealed his hideout, resulting him with a shoot from the enemy’s sniper into the Republican’s arm.

The injured Republican sniper thought of a well strategic plan that he made to assassinate the enemy. As he took the cap of the revolver and placed it over the top of the muzzle of his riffle, he pushed the rifle over the wall while pretending to be killed . Right when the enemy started his celebration, the young sniper shot a bullet to the opposite building and killed his opponent . A mid aged man who witnessed this killing stated," It was actually really dark to see clearly, but I saw a person raising his hands up and down and then suddenly I hear a loud noise of a gun shot and the man just dropped".

The young sniper was filled with joy and the fact that he had been victorious, thanks to his well though out plan. Afterwards, he went to see who was his opponent. " The boy walked towards the body on the floor and when he turned it, he started crying.", explained another bystander. The sniper to see that his enemy was his brother.

Going through so much trouble to end up killing his own family member.
